(Portland, OR) – Widmer Brothers Brewing will bring back another W Series beer next month, much like it did recently with the new seasonal, Widmer Brrr, which was a redux of Widmer W’06 Northwest Red Ale. Next month, Widmer Brothers comes out with Drifter Pale Ale, bringing out of retirement its W’07 beer.
Founder, Rob Widmer, first revealed it back at the Great American Beer Festival in October. Widmer Brothers also used the GABF to showcase another new beer coming up, Widmer W’09 Belgian-style Ale. It is remarkable that Widmer Bros. lasted this long without introducing a standard pale ale. This one supposedly uses Summit hops.
Drifter Pale Ale
and W’09 will both be available in bottle this January. Drifter should be on tap later this month.
