Boulevard To Collaborate With International Brewer

Brewmasters will partner on new Smokestack Series offering

KANSAS CITY, Mo., October 9, 2009 – Boulevard Brewing Company today announced that Jean-Marie Rock, brewmaster at Orval, the renowned Trappist brewery located in southern Belgium, will team up with Boulevard brewmaster Steven Pauwels to create a small production, limited release beer. The joint effort, a first for the Midwestern craft brewery, will take place during Rock’s late October visit to Boulevard’s Kansas City facility.

Smuttynose Big A IPA to go year-round

“Pennsylvania Distribution. For many years, distribution of Smuttynose beers in Pennsylvania has been limited to the southeast portion of the state. We are happy to announce that later this month we will begin shipping to five new wholesalers in the Keystone State, making our beers available throughout (most of) the entire state. You can see our new Pennsylvania wholesalers listed here.

Smuttynose Big A IPA – Yes, it’s official: starting at the end of this year, our Big A IPA will be available year-round in 12-ounce bottles in fourpacks.

The Bruery Black Tuesday release looms

Boulevard Brewing adds Tank 7 as ninth beer in Smokestack Series

The Bruery White Oak coming soon

(Placentia, CA) – The TTB has approved another bottle label from the Orange County brewer this week. According to Owner, Patrick Rue, The Bruery White Oak will be available as a brewery-only release initially. 1,700 bottles have been produced for the first bottle run though the beer has been available on tap in Portland among other places.

Half of the beer has been aged in bourbon barrels. Label description: “Vivid caramel-esque, coconut-like and vanilla-ish flavors blanketed in a crisp yet robust wheat ale.” 11.5% ABV.

Also, look for The Bruery Autumn Maple in stores now.

New Belgium to add year-round IPA, introduce new label artwork

(Fort Collins, CO) – Bryan Simpson, New Belgium Brewing Media Relations Director, confirmed on Wednesday that the third largest craft brewery in the U.S. will begin to roll out new labels for several beers in the first quarter of next year. The brewery will also add a new year-round beer to its lineup at that time.

Elysian goes all out for the Pumpkin

(Seattle, WA) – Elysian Brewing, the King of Pumpkin Ales, has released Night Owl Pumpkin Ale to the masses and has two more exclusively for the Seattle area. The brewery is also about to celebrate the 5th Annual Great Pumpkin Beer Festival in which at least 25 of the ales will be available on tap in one weekend.
