Bell’s Brewery to release 25th Anniversary Ale

(Kalamazoo, MI) – Bell’s Brewery is celebrating in style this year.

[8/21 Update: Bell’s 25th Anniversary and Bell’s Oarsmen now available in bottles at the General Store.]

The Michigan-based brewery has some events planned for September when it officially turns 25 and now has a celebratory beer to boot.

Bell’s 25th Anniversary Ale is going to be along the lines of a “unique dry-hopped strong ale made with Michigan barley from our farm,” says Marketing Director Laura Bell.

Though the beer is tentatively scheduled for release during the first week of September, a keg or two will make an appearance at the Great Taste of the Midwest in August. It will be fairly limited though there will be some distributed outside of the brewery.

Aside from the anniversary, it’s a big year for Bell’s because of the undertaking of a major brewery expansion. More on that (and some Bell’s history) can be found in this interview with Larry Bell.
