BrewDog founders reveal that they were sued by AB-InBev

(Aberdeen, SCOTLAND) – It seems that the BrewDog guys like to release news on major holidays celebrated in the U.S.. On Christmas Day, BrewDog released a video highlighting their year. Among the more interesting revelations was that AB InBev sued the brewery this past summer.

The lawsuit appears to stem from BrewDog’s use of Stella Artois and Beck’s in promotional videos like the one below. No further information was provided as to the current status of the lawsuit. Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer also happens to be the official legal firm representing the 2012 London Olympics.

BrewDog also included the time they lost a tank of 5am Saint among their lows for the year.

The brewery largely had a good year though and is currently one of the fastest-growing breweries in the world. Brewdog is only around 1 million pounds away from meeting its fundraising goal for a new brewery.
