"It’s a very red beer," Stephens said, thumbing up a snapshot on his digital camera, a glass of the stuff looking almost like cranberry juice. "It’s hoppy, in the tradition of an imperial IPA (India pale ale)."
It also has a kick.
"I shot for nine and a quarter (percent alcohol content)," Stephens said, smiling. "I wanted a bigger beer."
