(McKinney, TX) – A Saturday afternoon explosion at Texas-based Franconia Brewing injured two people.

Per WFAA, “The blast propelled a cylinder through a wall, injuring the two people. One was airlifted by helicopter ambulance to Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas for treatment; the other went by ground ambulance to Medical Center of Plano. Their names and conditions were not available.”

People at the scene said on Twitter that many people were at the brewery taking tours around the time of the accident and it is fortunate that more people weren’t injured from the explosion.

According to reports, the source of the explosion is still under investigation. A similar blast at Otter Creek in November was caused by a failure in a pressure relief valve.
