Australian beer drinking rate falls to lowest level since World War II

Beer consumption in Australia has fallen to the lowest level since the end of World War II. Total consumption of beer dropped to 98.08 litres per person in 2011, from 103.54 litres the year before, the lowest level since 1945-46 when Ben Chifley was prime minister and wartime rationing was still a reality.
