Last year, we released a collaborative brew for the summer in bombers and draft – Hoopla Pale Ale.
Hoopla was a collaboration between our brewers and Kyle Hollingsworth, Keyboardist of the String Cheese Incident. Kyle and his family live in Boulder and he’s an avid homebrewer, so we thought it would be a blast to join creative forces and develop the perfect festival-season beer. As Kyle puts it, “We wanted to make a beer that was hoppy, but still appetizing to non-hopheads and drinkable on hot days outdoors and at music festivals.” And that’s Hoopla to a tee! Hoopla Pale Ale is dry-hopped with generous amounts of Glacier hops for a fruity, floral hop aroma and flavor that will have your taste buds dancing! Its lively hop character is wonderfully balanced with a crisp, clean finish from the unique blend of US and German grains, making Hoopla the perfect companion to festival season.
To add to the fun, this year Hoopla is making its debut in 12 ounce 6-pack cans! Shows, tailgates, BBQ’s, rafting trips, here we come! The can art includes a QR code to scan for free music downloads from Kyle and more information on Hoopla, which should help create a buzz about the beer and the new package. And for the die-hard bomber drinkers, we’re packaging it in 22’s as well. Draught-wise we’re also excited to offer Hoopla half bbls on NITRO this season. They’ll cost the same as your regular co2 half bbls and add another option for experimental retailers that are into pale-colored, hoppy Nitro beers.
