Manneken-Brussels loses Westvleteren XII import deal

westvleteren xii gift pack

Manneken-Brussels Imports will no longer be importing Westvleteren to the U.S. according to a representative with the Texas-based company. That leaves Shelton Brothers as the only known importer. The original arrangement had Shelton Brothers handling distribution east of the Mississippi River with the exception of Illinois and MBI handling distribution out west.

What changed? The representative had no comment on that nor did Shelton Brothers. A rep with Shelton says, “We’ve heard nothing but are asking the Abbey to inform us if anything has changed.”

For now, distribution in the Western territory is up in the air though Shelton Brothers does have partnerships with distributors out West if it comes to that. A list of Shelton Brothers’ distributors is available on its website.

Stay tuned.
