Yazoo moving away from 12 oz. bottles for high gravity beers

yazoo brewing logo(Nashville, TN) – Yazoo Brewing said on its Facebook page recently that it will be making some changes with respect to its specialty beer packaging.

“The 12 oz. will be going away for all of our high gravity offerings going forward.”

The brewery posted the news in the comments along with a photo of the new 750ml bottle of Yazoo SUE. Interesting move considering we have seen some breweries recently putting big beers in 12 oz. 4-packs.

In others news, Yazoo Hop Project #67 was just bottled. “Made with mostly Galena and a New Zeland hop called Motueka.”

  1. This might be a preventative move in regards to shrinking shelf space in most liquor stores. It’s easier to find room for a single bottle than it is a new 4pk/6pk.
