(Shreveport, LA) – Fresh, high-quality craft beer will soon be available in Northwest Louisiana at Great Raft Brewing, a locally created and owned craft microbrewery. With operations planned in the Shreveport community, Great Raft Brewing will offer three flagship beers and rotating seasonal brews beginning in summer 2013.
“We are passionate about great beer, and we are proud to be Shreveport natives — the combination of the two is what we hope will make Great Raft Brewing Shreveport’s hometown beer,” said co-founder Andrew Nations.
Jim Patton has worked with the founders as a brewing consultant during brewery planning and development. Patton was the founder and head brewer of Abita Brewing Company and brings more than 25 years of industry experience to Great Raft Brewing.
“Together with Jim’s expertise, we’re thrilled to bring world-class beer to the Shreveport community and grow the beer culture in the region,” said co-founder Lindsay Nations.
Pilot batches of Great Raft beer will be available at the 4th Annual Shreveport Brew Sat., Oct. 20 from 2:00 – 6:00 pm in Festival Plaza. The Great Raft booth will be located in the Sports Bar tent.
