Death knell: Boston startup brewery dumps ‘several thousand dollars worth’ of beer

So we have several thousand dollars worth of beer (a Russian Imperial Stout is NOT cheap to make) that I am not totally happy with, hanging out in a conditioning tank, waiting to be kegged. But it won’t, its ultimate home is the sewer. What I’m trying to say is, there will be no Death — at least not for a while.

  1. Helder/Maggie of Backlash, in dumping ‘Death’ are exhibiting the ‘best of’ instincts that true artisans in any/all venues regularly demonstrate; ‘courage’.

USMC ‘defined’ as: Courage: Simply stated, courage is honor in action — and more. Courage is moral strength, the will to heed the inner voice of conscience, the will to do what is right regardless of the conduct of others. It is mental discipline, an adherence to a higher standard. Courage means willingness to take a stand for what is right in spite of adverse consequences.

The ‘adverse consequences’ here is a big ass hole in the bank account. STILL… preferable to subverting the hard-earned trust of consumers by supplying #beer not up to standards of the brewer. He/she losses a little of themselves any/every time they ignore/lower their standards…cue the Karma ‘Death’ spiral. All ‘avoided’ by doing right, for the right reasons: ▌Courage

‘Courage’ should be a ‘thematic’ brewing consideration, Maggie/Helder to offset dumping ‘death’ #justsaying #ADKBREWCO
