Stone Brewing Co. takes in 288 bourbon barrels from Four Roses

stone brewing logo(Escondido, CA) – Stone Brewing Co.’s Laura Ulrich recently reported out on Twitter that the company had received 288 bourbon barrels that it will use to age beer. Ulrich notes that the barrels all came from Four Roses Distillery.

The brewery, to this point, has released its barrel-aged beers in very limited amounts either on draft or in Quingenti Millilitre Series (500ml) bottles (bottles only available at special events or occasionally in SoCal shops) though one can hope the addition of nearly 300 more barrels may mean wider availability. The company added a new brewhouse last year and expanded packaging capabilities will go into effect early this year. Stay tuned…
