Surly Pentagram bottles to return in February

Surly Pentagram Dark Sour Ale(Brooklyn Center, MN) – Surly Brewing head brewer, Todd Haug, recently confirmed the February return of Surly Pentagram, delivering on a pledge to make the beer an annual release.

Description per the bottle label:

100% Brettanomyces dark beer fermented in stainless and aged in used red wine barrels.

‘Brett’ is a unique yeast strain that produces flavors that would be considered offensive if they were not intentional. Flavors of sour cherry, tobacco, oak and classic ‘Brett’ barnyard funk balanced by dark munich malt chewiness. Enjoy immediately or age at cellar temperature for a couple years.

Haug also noted in another tweet that Abrasive Ale will continue to be produced into the latter part of this winter season as scheduled.
