(Victor, ID) – The latest from Grand Teton Brewing Co., courtesy of the brewery’s newsletter…
The beginning of 2013 has been quite busy with brewing, bottling, shipping and tackling brewery-improvement projects. Our first big project of 2013, replacing our mash tun with a new 30 barrel mash lauter tun, is officially complete. Employees of the brewery lent their talents to ensure installation went as smooth as possible.
The installation of the new lauter tun has significantly helped efficiency during the brewing process. The brewing cycle is now completed in a shorter amount of time making it possible to brew more batches per day. Increasing total grain going into mash, increasing kettle volume, a simpler grain-out system and a streamlined tank cleaning system all have a positive impact on brewing efficiency. This unprecedented efficiency translates into more beer for our fans!
