(Bloomington, IN) – The latest from Upland Brewing Co.’s email newsletter…
All hail summertime! It can’t seem to get here fast enough. So, we thought we’d take the time to introduce our new creation. After all, nothing goes better with summer than pairing it with a perfect golden ale. Introducing Campside Summer Session Ale coming to taps and shelves near you in May 2013.
This crisp golden ale is built on the foundation of delicate light malts. This allows us to showcase some of the most interesting and effervescent American hops in a way we have never before done. We saved over 75% of the hops used in this recipe to add after the batch was boiled, allowing the distinct fragrance of grapefruit, apricot and pine to be preserved as much as possible in the finished beer. With a crisp subtle bitterness, a refreshingly light malt character, and relatively low ABV, Campside is the perfect warm weather beverage for those who think flavor is just as important as refreshment!
Be a part of history as we relaunch the state’s most beloved beer of all time, Champagne Velvet, in the city of its origin, Terre Haute IN. Join us on Saturday, April 6 as this much anticipated beer will again become available to residents of the Wabash Valley, and shortly thereafter far beyond.
To celebrate the occasion Upland will release CV by hauling kegs of the BEER with the million dollar flavor by horse-drawn beer wagon through the streets of Terre Haute, in much the same manner it was delivered one hundred years ago. First delivery will be at Sonka Irish Pub, 3:00pm, next stop The Copper Bar, and a final destination of M. Moggers Restaurant and Pub arriving at 6:00pm, where the party will continue into the night.1
