Prairie Ales update: Bomb! barrel treatments, new bottle formats and fruit beers (video)

Prairie Bomb! Imperial Stout

(Krebs, OK) – Prairie Artisan Ales founder, Chase Healey, recently got on camera to discuss what’s happening at his Oklahoma-based brewery with Shelton Brothers. Among the highlights…

Prairie is moving away from 750ml bottles to 500ml bottles and 375ml bottles.

Prairie Gold Sour Golden AleBomb!, an imperial stout just named the #2-ranked beer over the past quarter by RateBeer, will get some barrel treatments including rum, port and bourbon.

Prairie Gold Sour Golden Ale is going to get some fruit treatments and the brewery will do a dry-hopped version called Funky Gold Mosaic. We would assume Mosaic hops might be featured in that one.

While not mentioned in the interview, Prairie revealed back in June that there is a plan to start brewing at its own facility soon.
