(Hershey, PA) – Label approval has come in for two beers in cans from Tröegs Brewing Company.

One is for Troegenator Doublebock in 16 oz. cans and the other is for Perpetual Imperial Pale Ale in 12 oz. cans.

Contrary to the note on the brewery website that reads, “We currently have no plans to add a canning line at this time,” a report from April says this:

“This year, Troegs is adding two new bottling lines, including one that will allow them to ‘cork and cage bottles’ for aged beers. In addition, Troegs will be adding a canning line with the ability to sell select Troegs beers in cans later this year, Trogner said.

So it looks like these will not be produced using a mobile canning outfit but rather, the brewery’s own equipment.

A request for more information is out to the brewery.
