Moving forward in 2015, the Colorado brewery is expanding production capacity and investing in quality assurance. The cement padding has been laid for 4 additional 480 bbl fermentation vessels for a total of 12 tanks, increasing Left Hand’s fermentation capacity by 33%. Moreover, Left Hand has broken ground on an auxiliary production space to house a new pilot system, in addition to firkin cleaning, general cleaning storage and office space for the brewing operations team. The brewery is also expanding into an additional property on Boston Avenue, housing the sales/marketing, maintenance shop, and QA/QC.
Driven by Left Hand’s vision statement to be a brewery whose success and size are driven by quality, the brewery is investing and expanding their Quality Assurance / Quality Control program. This year, Left Hand will build a new QA/ QC lab with sensory, biology, and chemistry support capacity.
