(Bend, OR) – Deschutes Brewery announced it will introduce its brands to the City of Richmond, and the surrounding area in the Commonwealth of Virginia beginning early November. The brewery is partnering with Loveland Distributing Co. which is headquartered in Richmond, VA. Earlier this year, Deschutes Brewery announced that Roanoke would be the site for its future East Coast brewery location, a mere 189 miles away from Richmond.
“After extensive research in Central Virginia, it became apparent that we wanted to partner with Loveland Distributing,” remarked Stacy Denbow, Eastern Regional Sales Director for Deschutes. “The Stepanian family, which owns Loveland Distributing, is in their third generation of running this organization and we share a lot of the same core values.”
Loveland Distributing will launch Deschutes Brewery’s beers later this fall including Mirror Pond Pale Ale, Black Butte Porter, Fresh Squeezed IPA, Pinedrops IPA, as well as the brewery’s award-winning winter seasonal, Jubelale, along with its Variety Packs.
“We are thrilled to partner with the folks from Deschutes at the onset of their major brewing investment here in Virginia,” commented Mark Stepanian, Loveland Distributing’s president and CEO. “As beer consumers continue to evolve their tastes and brand preferences, at Loveland, we seek brewing partners capable of helping us provide Richmond with local, regional and national brands of the highest quality. Our partnership with Deschutes will give Richmond beer drinkers the option to enjoy more exceptional beers soon to be brewed here in Virginia!”
Deschutes is looking to finish off statewide distribution in Virginia in Spring 2017.
