(Charlton, MA) – Tree House Brewing Co. debuted “Somewhere, Something Incredible is Waiting to be Known,” a 7.9% ABV milk stout, on Wednesday. The beer is limited to two cans per person while it lasts.

The beer name has a fun backstory, according to QuoteInvestigator. The name is a quote that has often been attributed wrongly to the late astronomer, Carl Sagan, but was never found in his texts. It originally appeared in a Newsweek article written by a team of reporters about Sagan and was later claimed as original by one of the reporters. You can read the full story here.

Beer description: This new American Stout is intended to complement the character of the season and the Thanksgiving tradition. Brewed with pale, caramel, and roasted malts and conditioned with a blend of chocolate, vanilla and our favorite freshly roasted coffee, Somewhere pours a luscious pitch black in the glass with a dense mocha head. We taste and smell complex notes of swiss chocolate, vanilla ice cream, and chocolate chocolate chip cookies. A rich body and a gentle carbonation contribute to a beer that is the ideal holiday digestif. We hope this beer can serve as a lubricant to reflect and give thanks during this special time of year. Limit 2 cans PP.

Tree House limited releases historically sell out on the first day the beer is originally sold.

In addition to Somewhere, the brewery is selling 12 cans of Julius, 12 cans of Green and 8 cans of Sap per person while they last. Follow Tree House Brewing on Twitter for all updates.

Tree House announces a new mix of beer releases each day that it is open though specialty beers like Somewhere are often released without notice or announcement.
