(Katy, TX) – Thousands of beer enthusiasts will converge at Katy Mills, the largest outlet and value retail-shopping destination in South Texas, at the seventh annual Wild West Brew Fest. Festival-goers will tap into more than 600 craft and local beers from over a 100 brewers, savor regional cuisine and enjoy live music, game zones, beer gardens, games, prizes, the legendary WWBF Beer Babes, Bagpipers and much more! The “Katy Wild West Brew Fest” principals are members of the Brewers Association of America a passionate voice for the craft brewers and take no fee from this event, they do it to give back to our communities.
With many brewfests in the city of Houston and the surrounding areas, this is the only one we know of that gives back 100% of the profits to local charities. What strikes us the most is that the organizers of this event put on this entire event on their own time. “We do this out of love for our communities and our fellow citizens,” says David Loesch Chairman of the Wild West Brewfest. “We could not do this event without the help of our fellow Rotarians and the 600+ volunteers that help us put this event on. It is an amazing time for both the patron and the organizers, we have watched it grow from a small event with 1700 people six years ago to close to 9000 today. We believe in our event and put 100% behind it, our job is to make if fun and to give back” says Loesch.
Don’t miss the Launch Party being Held Friday, May 4th in the VIP Hop House often referred to as one of the best parties on the West side of Houston. Attendees will enjoy “one-offs” featured by our local brewers and sample some great food, enjoy some live music, and take home a commemorative pint glass from the night along with memories that will last a lifetime. “I still remember the year Prince passed, and the band closed the night with Purple Rain. The entire 11,000 square foot tent was purple; people were singing and dancing, what a night that was” says Loesch.
On Saturday, May 5th, attendees will enjoy activities including Texas Specialty Tent – featuring most of our Texas Brewers and all of our local brewers, multiple beer gardens, canzones, a climate-controlled silent auction space featuring a specialty bar serving unique craft brews that you will have a hard time finding anywhere else and sponsored by H-E-B, VIP (climate controlled) Hop House (VIP) featuring one of a kind beers, great food, and music provided by the Deacon of Funk, sponsored by BB&T. Also, the WWBF will have a patio for their patrons of the Hop House, and for selected sponsors, the Reserved Craft Room in the Hop House is undoubtedly not to be missed.
“The Reserved Craft Room (The RCR) is a “one of a kind” and will offer select vintages of rare beers along with food hosted by our RCR Crew. This room is only open to selected sponsors of our event, should you wish to sponsor please send us an email from the event’s website” says Loesch.
Event Visitors will enjoy discounted hotel rooms on property at Katy Mills. “Grab your hotel rooms now,” says Loesch before they fill up.
