(Woodbridge, CT) – Rob Leonard, Owner and Head Brewer of Connecticut-based New England Brewing, confirmed in an e-mail this week that the Imperial Stout Trooper would be brewed again. There were no more details provided in the e-mail posted by Phagelab over at BeerAdvocate. The beer has garnered big respect at the beer site earning a 4.41 average. It is the second-ranked beer brewed in New England with Portsmouth Kate the Great being #1. Thomas Hooker’s Liberator Doppelbock previously held the ratings crown as top beer in Connecticut but was trumped by the IST after a strong 2007. While New England Brewing distributes most of their beers in cans, Imperial Stout Trooper was a bottled release.
