[4/3 Update – Realized that Surly had this listed up on their calendar: April 14th – Bitter Brewer release at Madcappers in Stillwater 7:00 – probably safe to assume that this is the release date for this beer but call around to your local beer stores to confirm]
(Brooklyn Center, MN) – Surly Bitter Brewer will become the 5th canned beer from the Minnesota-based brewery later this month. MNBeer.com first revealed the scoop yesterday afternoon and label approval came through late last night. The beer joins an already-canned lineup of Furious, Bender, CynicAle, and Surlyfest. Bitter Brewer has relatively few beer reviews so far on Beer Advocate but has the potential to become the top-ranked English Bitter on the site if its beer ratings continue their current trend. The brew weighs in at a light 4% ABV making it one of the few viable ultra-light alternatives out on the market going into the spring and summer months.
