Beer notes: Weyerbacher Harvest Update; New Holland to PA?

Straight from the brewery, Weyerbacher Harvest Ale will be released next week in Pennsylvania. Only 500 cases and some kegs were produced so the PA wholesalers have first dibs. If it doesn’t sell out, distribution could expand. Though according to President, Dan Weirback: “Next year we expect a 5 to 10 fold increase in the harvest and will be able to make a lot more beer and thus ship it out to all markets, not just PA.”

Weyerbacher Bravo from the Brewers’ Select Series was released on August 30th at the brewery as well and will only be available on Saturdays. The brewery appears to also have Weyerbacher Thireen, Imperial Pumpkin, and others in stock.

The arrival of Weyerbacher into Wisconsin is imminent with the new deal with Beechwood Distributors. People may want to call up Beechwood to see what beers they ordered. Distribution also expanded into South Carolina and Georgia late last month.

Apart from Weyerbacher news, the PLCB approved New Holland Night Tripper Imperial Stout and New Holland Cabin Fever Brown Ale this week. Watch out for the Night Tripper; it’s got a 4 average on Beer Advocate.
