From the Russian River Brewing website, as expected, there is confirmation that the next barrel-aged bottles to be sold will be a third batch of Beatification, blended from two batches brewed on 6/2007 and 2/2008. This batch will be “less sour” than the second.
Washington’s Baron Brewing announced this week that they are extending their brewery into a new project: Three Skulls Ales. This new project will be treated as completely separate from Baron’s existing brewing line. Three beers: Black Bonney, Cutthroat Red, and Pillager Pils, will debut on tap next month with bottles coming by December. Unfortunately, no update on the Baron limited series (they didn’t reply to my email).
In Indiana, the new Great Crescent Brewery, recently got (keg) label approval for virtually it whole lineup of eight beers. They have some specialties, however, like Cherry Ale, which will only be released in 750s. The brewery is named after one that existed in the late 1800s called Crescent Brewery. Target opening date is early November.
Lastly, it looks like Harpoon Brewery, in addition to its upcoming seasonal, Chocolate Stout, will add a new beer to its lineup down the road: Celtic Ale, an Irish-style red. No info yet on release date.
Celtic Ale isn’t new, they just rebranded the old Hibernion
