Beer Notes: Struise Black Albert, Port High Tide, Russian River Beatification Updates

Struise Head Brewer, Urbain Coutteau, left us a note this week as to the status of Black Albert: “Black Albert should have been already on US soil a long time ago but some technical issues have delayed the departure, and we are very sorry for that. I can assure you some stock left the brewery last week for the US and will be imported, as always, by the Shelton Brothers.” With Struise having some kind of agreement with Ebenezer’s Pub in Maine for Black Albert, I wonder how much of this first shipment will be available to retailers. Stay tuned.

From the Beer Advocate forums, Tomme Arthur on Port High Tide IPA: “Stone Distributing is picking up their first 240 cases of this beer today. We have been selling pints and growlers at the brewery since last Friday. If you can’t contain yourself for two days, you may stop by to purchase some. We would prefer of course that you stop by on Friday for our Boobs and Beer promotion benefitting the 3 Day Cancer Walk and White Labs.

And you have probably seen the Ratebeer thread by now, but there is rumor of the Russian River beer that is being bottled this week being an additional supply of Beatification. Neither confirmed nor denied but check out the thread for yourself.
