(Roskilde, DENMARK) – Olfabrikken is sending over from Denmark some new stuff to the USA. Olfabrikken Winter Porter, one of the top 10 Baltic Porters in the world, and two holiday seasonals, Olfabrikken Klosterjul and Olfabrikken Jule Ale are imported through the Shelton Brothers. They will be released later this year.

The descriptions for these beers are available in English through the Google translation tool (though it doesn’t work for the Winter Porter). A couple excerpts:

“Ølfabrikken Klosterjul is complex, inspired by the Trappist beers and brewed with cherries from Stevns and liquorice root […] Nose on this beer is extremely complex and brings ideas onto the aged port, with its shades of bitter almond, burnt sugar, prunes and coffee.”

“Ølfabrikken Christmas Ale [Jule Ale] is a little nontraditional julebryg that make up the tradition that the juleøl must be sweet and malt dominated […] Our julebryg contrasts sharply with the four Cs of America: Chinook, Columbus, Cascade and Centennial.”
