(Boston, MA) – Quick update on the Harpoon Leviathan Series. Harpoon Brewery just got approval on the third bottled beer in this series which will be a huge Quadrupel at nearly 12% ABV. The beer description reads, “This Belgian-style ale, fermented with traditional Trappist yeast, features a sweet dry fruit, peppery phenol aroma and velvety body.”
The reviews are in for the first one, Imperial IPA, and it has been a critical success. Harpoon Baltic Porter, #2, was recently released suggesting that this probably will not be ready until very early ’09.
