New Hampshire brewery debuts tomorrow

Manchester Koncord Kombat(Concord, NH) – “I’ve counted, and Manchester Brewing is my seventh try.” – Kevin Bloom

New Hampshire has a new brewery opening tomorrow.  For lack of a better term, Journeyman/Work horse, Kevin Bloom will open up his latest project, Manchester Brewing Co., to guests on Saturday from 4-7pm (119 Old Turnpike Road 3G in Concord).  Bloom has at least two beers to showcase which will also be available in bottles: Koncord Kombat Ale and Censored Imperial Blonde.  In early December, he is brewing a third called The Devil’s Rooster which will be a Marzen.

Before venturing over to the Granite State just a couple months ago, Bloom was part of a triumvirate that was working on another brewery startup back in Plymouth, Michigan.  According to its website, Liberty Street Brewing still hopes to open this fall.  Bloom has also held posts at Grizzly Peak Brewing and Boyne River Brewing, both in Michigan, among others.

For those wondering why a brewery in Concord would name itself “Manchester Brewing,” that would be because “Concord Brewing” already exists, just south in Massachusetts.  Bloom has been noting such intricacies (and TTB battles) in starting a brewery on his Planet Beer blog.  He expects to update the actual Manchester Brewing website in the near-future.

Attending the opening or who want to contact the brewery? Here is the business phone number: 603 617 2409.
