Alaskan brings back another from the Rough Draft Series

(Juneau, AK) – You didn’t think I was done reporting on new beers for the week did you?  The following comes from Alaskan Brewing Co. Communications Manager, Ashley Johnston:

Alaskan White Ale is a Belgian-style wheat beer slated for release in early April 2009. Alaskan White will be our newest year-round bottle beer available in select locations in Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington and Wyoming.

As with many of our beers, Alaskan White was first created about three years ago as part of our Rough Draft series of beers brewed on our original 10 barrel house and distributed on tap around Alaska.

Brewed with coriander, bitter orange peel and malted wheat,

Alaskan White Ale

has a light and crisp body pleasant tartness followed by slightly spicy aftertaste. The malted wheat gives the beer a more full and lightly malty mouthfeel. There is an aroma and flavor of wheat and coriander, with a dry and refreshingly carbonated finish.
