From Rich Nowak, Florida/Georgia Brand Manager, on the elusive Brooklyn Brewery Brewmaster’s Reserve Series: “The BMR Series is a small batch, very limited release of draught beers. A new style is released on a bi-monthly basis. […] The current release is Brooklyn Savoir Faire, a French-style Biere de Garde. Next month will be
Brooklyn Blunderbuss Old Ale
. For anyone who cares to know what a blunderbuss is, check out the Wikipedia entry.

Enough of that. From a recent Flat Earth Brewing email: “Just in time for the holidays our Black Helicopter Coffee Stout and Rode Haring Flanders Red Ale will be available this week in 750 ml bottles at the brewery during growler sales. We will be open today and tomorrow (12/22 & 12/23) from 330 – 630 for growler sales. We will also have growlers of Snow Dog peppermint infused porter plus so other goodies available over the next 2 days.”
Speaking of Minnesota, MNbeer reported on its site earlier in the month that Schell’s had some new beers coming: “The elusive Schmaltz Alt is being packaged this week to be ready for a late Dec/early Jan release […] The first batch of the new Schell Bock will be brewed this week. Schell Bock will be a limited release available Feb 2, 2009. Brewed with 10 different malts and a proprietary German yeast strain, Schell Bock will weigh in at 16 Plato and 24 IBUs. The site also has the scoop on Schells Hopfenmalz, Anniversary Beer #5, coming in January.
