(Middlebury, VT) – Otter Creek Brewing is bringing back a ‘retired’ beer and starting a new line of imperial beers (click ‘Continue on’ for more including label).
The Vermont brewery is reaching into its archives to bring back some old favorites for the World Tour Series going forward. The first beer of the bunch will be Mud Bock, the first brewing of this particular ale in at least a few years (last reviews came in early 2005). It will be available soon in bombers and on draft. What will come after that? That is where us beer people come in. Posted on the website will eventually be a poll asking what to brew for the next World Tour Series release.
In addition, as a result of the state legislature upping that pesky ABV law to respectability this year, Otter Creek will take advantage with a new Imperial Series of big beers. First up will be a 10.6% ABV Imperial Stout (they are not messing around!) which will be available in bombers and draft. Various malts, brown sugar, and Willamette and Magnum hops (65 IBUs) are featured in this brew.
Finally, Otter Creek’s winter seasonal, Raspberry Brown Winter Ale is now in stores along the east coast minus FL and SC. It can also be found in OH, WI, and IL.
I would vote for A Winter’s Ale to make a comeback – the non-infected version please.
And if they would reverse the dumbing down of Copper Ale and put it back to its early 00’s state, I would buy OC beer again.
