Head Brewer, Tomme Arthur, wrote up another blog post for The Lost Abbey this weekend, noting the tentative beer schedule for the first part of 2009. Here is the lowdown:
January – Lost Abbey Red Poppy
(^more info in the newly-updated Craft Beer Press Releases)
February – Angels Share Brandy Barrel
“[…] we’ll be packaging almost 45 oak barrels worth of beer. This will allow us to get a measure of beer to all of our distributors AND more importantly, we’ll be able to keep enough on hand at the brewery to ensure visitors can purchase Angel’s Share in the future.
For the February release of The Angel’s Share, we’ll be packaging the beer in both 375 ml and 750 ml for the first time. The 375 ml format will only be available at the brewery. 750 ml bottles will be available at the brewery and for the retail market.”
March – Port Older Viscosity
Bourbon barrel-aged version of brewery’s strong ale, Old Viscosity
April – none
May – Cuvee du Tomme and Angel’s Share Bourbon Barrel
To be released at the 3rd Anniversary party in early May (presumably with the debut of a new beer)
June –
Lost Abbey Duck, Duck Gooze
There is little info out there on DDG. Its a wild beer that will have aged in barrels for nearly two years by the time it is released. If any of the locals want to chip in more specifics, please do!
July – Bourbon Barrel Aged Santa’s Little Helper
More info on incoming barrels and other things in the original blog post.
