Beer notes: Kate the Great, Sexual Chocolate, and other recent releases

foothills-brewing-logoSome quick hits…

Were you at the Portsmouth Kate the Great release? If not, check out the video at Here for the Beer to see what the scene was like. The beer kicked on tap that night. Needless to say, there was once a time when it lasted for months.

Just a couple days earlier there was the release of Foothills Sexual Chocolate down in North Carolina. 600 bottles sold out in just 41 minutes. It may have even sold out faster than KTG did. Field reports can be found at Beer Advocate.

Shorts Brewing also issued an update on Beer Advocate about its delayed bottles. They should arrive first or 2nd week in March to about 400 stores across Michigan.

Lost Abbey and Great Divide Brewing both have new websites if you haven’t visited recently.

Lastly, the craft beer calendar should be updated tomorrow or Thursday AM. The format doesn’t look pretty here is a sneak peak at what was released over the last several days. Am I wrong in thinking this is the best time of the year for beer releases?
