[Available as of late February.]
(Brooklyn, NY) – Rumors have been floating around about this one for the past week (credit to jrocket for getting the discussion going and the pic above). But it’s always nice to get the lowdown from a brewery rep to confirm/ clear things up…
“Brooklyn Local 2 will ship in late February for a March release. Brooklyn Local 2 combines European malts and hops, Belgian dark sugar and raw wildflower honey from a farm in Upstate New York. Our special Belgian yeast adds hints of spice to the dark fruit, caramel and chocolate flavors.
Brooklyn Local 2
is 100% bottle re-fermented.
ABV 8.7%”
Indications are that this will be more readily available like its predecessor, Brooklyn Local 1, than the recent Brooklyn Black Ops. More info on Local 1 at the official site (including a video) and a short article at Brew Like a Monk.
Unrelated to this release, The Beer Nut published a short interview last week with Garrett Oliver, where he gives his thoughts on “extreme beer” among other things.
Very nice, grad it’s not to far off. Sounds like a good beer and a lot different from Local 1
