(Woodinville, WA) – Info comes from a wholesaler rep who revealed this on Beer Advocate yesterday:
“Belgian Tripel is deep golden hued with subtle hints of vanilla, clove and cinnamon. Fruity, spicy and warming with a complex but soft malt character.
IBU: 22
Alcohol by Volume: 8.0%
Original Gravity: 19.3 plato
Shelf Life – 180 days
STR Date: April 20, 2009
Probable retail price- $7.99 per 22oz bottle”
Also available 1/6 barrel draught; nationwide release
The return of Double Black appeared to be a better value at $5/22 oz. and faired well in beer reviews.
[ed: random fact: April 20 is Hitler’s birthday.]
This looks really tasty. I had no idea that Red Hook had limited release beers. Probably because I haven’t seen them where I get my beer. I also think it’s great to see American craft brewers making Belgian style beers.
P.S. There’s a lot of awful s**t that went down on April 20. Is it really necessary to bring it up in a beer news blog?
Wow, This is Mad Flavor !
