(Fort Collins, CO) – Label approval came through this week for a new summer seasonal from
Odell Brewing: St. Lupulin Dry-Hopped Extra Pale Ale
. The beer will be hoppy and in that new/hip 6-7% ABV range (6.5% to be exact). It will be released in June and available through September.
Back label: “A mystical legend echoes in our brewhouse – that of St. Lupulin(loop-you-lin) the archetypal hophead. He devoted endless summers to endless rows of hops, tending to the flowers and the beloved resin within – lupulin Extraordinary oils in this yellow resin provide this dry-hopped extra pale ale with an undeniably pleasing floral aroma and clean, crisp finish. One sip of this seasonal summer ale and you too, will believe.”
Odell has a couple other things up its sleeve, too. Of course, Woodcut #2 is coming out next month (delayed from its initial April 20 release date as it needs to fully carbonate). And then there is Odell Twitter Brew, dubbed as one of the first Twitter beers. You have until tonight (4/24) at 5pm to recommend a style for Odell to brew for this beer. The top styles will then be voted on by us, the public…
“The voting will end on May 8, 2009 and brewer, Jeff Doyle will then brew the Twitter Brew on Odell Brewing’s Pilot brewing system. “There are so many people who are interested in brewing but don’t really have the means to do it,” said Doyle. “The Twitter Brew will give them the chance to get involved with the whole process.”
Twitter brewers can try their beer at the brewery’s Tap Room during the tapping party on May 30, 2009.”
