(Grand Rapids, MI) – Slept on this one.
Founders Cerise
came out a little over a week ago and most of this info is in the wild already. From the brewery: “We have replaced the Rubaeus with Cerise. No question that the cost of raspberries was a concern, but much more importantly, we realized that we had an opportunity to help Michigan’s economy and support the cherry farmers. I didn’t realize it until we did some diggin’ that 75% of all the tart cherries sold in the United States are grown within a few hours of the brewery. I knew it was a decent crop but didn’t know how extensive it was.”
Fresh cherries were added at five stages of fermentation. 6.5% ABV.
