Avery Brewing to debut a Double IPA

(Boulder, CO) – Avery Brewing is set to bottle a new Double IPA this fall. The brewery announced on Facebook this week that Avery Dugana will arrive in bombers in mid-late October. Despite what the label indicates, the beer will not be bottled in September. It will not replace Maharaja as the Double IPA in the lineup.

A couple questions: 1) Does this beer actually get approved with the current label? Not sure what TTB standards are on nudity. 2) How does the hop profile differ from Maharaja?

Stats: 1.076 O.G., 8.5% ABV, 93 IBU

In other news, the brewery has just released the 2009 editions of The Beast Grand Cru and The Kaiser Imperial Oktoberfest as well as announced the late September release of Barrel-Aged Series #2, Avery Sui Generis. Side note: Sui Generis in Wikipedia = interesting stuff.
