Gathered some more tips from scouring the Beer Releases forum at Beer Advocate.
Boulevard Brewing updated its Facebook page on Friday with news about a new berr coming later this month:
“The first batch of our new fall Smokestack Series seasonal, Seeyoulator Doppelbock, is bottling this morning. A Doppelbock aged on cedar, it will be released along with Bob’s ‘47 Oktoberfest near the end of August.
Medium amber in color, Seeyoulator offers a heady, estery banana aroma. A luscious maltiness predominates, with balancing notes from Hallertau hops. Cedar aging lends just a hint of spice to the finish.”
Foothills Brewing has made what appears to be its first batch of Barrel Aged Sexual Chocolate this summer. According to kkipple on BA, there are a “limited amount of draft kegs available; this is Sexual Chocolate RIS aged in Pappy Van Winkle bourbon barrels.”
In the same thread, Duck-Rabbit‘s Ryan Witter revealed details on a new collaboration beer that will surface in bottles this fall: “Around November, be on the look out for Old Rabbits Foot. It is a blend of Barrel Aged Hickory Stick Stout from Old Hickory, Barrel Aged Rabid Duck from Duck-Rabbit, and Barrel Aged Sexual Chocolate from Foothills Brewing. All the beers were aged in pappy barrels and this will be a bottled release.” Still in the “planning stages” but pointing toward a one day release according to Witter…
