According to an exclusive press release published at Beer Advocate last month, a new batch of Samuel Adams Utopias is on the way: “The small batch release comes from just 53 barrels all brewed, blended and aged at the Samuel Adams Brewery in Boston. The exclusive, limited distribution brew will be available at select specialty beer and liquor stores starting in November for a suggested retail price of $150.00 per bottle.

Some more facts about the upcoming Stone Vertical Epic 09.09.09 Ale were released on the brewery blog: “This year’s Ale is a sinfully dark Belgian Porter, and instead of using American hops like last year, we’re using two European hop strains: Perle and Magnum […] The delicious combination of tangerine peel and chocolate malt lends the beer its orange-chocolate character, and the addition of vanilla beans actually enhances the chocolate character of the chocolate malt […] As if the beer wasn’t decadent enough, the brew crew decided to age it on French Oak, further enhancing the vanilla character and adding to the overall complexity.”

From the latest Garden State Craft Beer newsletter: “Hop-alot-amus, a new year-round offering from River Horse Brewing Company, is now available. This double IPA is brewed from Pilsen and caramel malts and clocks in at around 8.5% ABV, with an estimated 92 IBUs. First shipments are out to distributors in New Jersey and Pennsylvania or stop by the brewery and pick some up!”

Finally, Three Floyds Brewing now has a new website to show off…
