(Boston, MA) – Harpoon Saison Royale, the next brew in Harpoon’s Leviathan Series is shipping to distributors this week according to the brewery’s Twitter page. And Glacier Harvest Wet Hop returns next month . . .

“Belgian Saisons were traditionally brewed to slake the thirst of 19th century farmhands. Our Saison Royale uses authentic ingredients with a nod to that tradition while staying true to our own craft brewing roots. German Pilsner and North American Pale malts are paired with Vienna malt, making up the hearty malt bill for this brew. It is hopped with British East Kent Goldings and finished with Hallertauers from the Tettnang growing region in Germany, adding a spicy, clean hop finish.” – Harpoon website

The last time the brewery made a Saison was for its 100 Barrel Series back in spring 2006. The beer is 9% ABV. Stores in these states (and possibly others) should be able to ask for this beer: MA, NH, RI, CT, VT, NY, DC, MI, OH, IL, KY, NC, SC, GA, FL, LA, TX. In addition, two previously released Leviathan Series beers should still be available: Imperial IPA and Big Bohemian Pilsner should still be available on shelves.

Up next after Saison Royale is the return of Glacier Harvest Wet Hop which will be #28 in the 100 Barrel Series. The beer was will be brewed this next week (schedule change) and will be available in September. For more info, take a peak at last year’s edition.
