MacTarnahan’s Brewing has introduced Lip Stinger Farmhouse Ale with peppercorn, to extends its portfolio.
The company claims that the Lip Stinger is a farmhouse ale that brewers add a cracked peppercorn blend during fermentation to introduce a spicy nose and warming mouth feel.
The company said that the product is brewed to be a easy drinking beer and will be available in 22 ounce bottles only, except for being featured on draft at the brewery’s own alehouses in Portland, Seattle, Berkeley, Walnut Creek and Sacramento.
Mark Carver, director of pontification and tale telling at MacTarnahan’s Brewing, said: “Following the successful release of Summer Grifter as part of our seasonal series, we’re excited to introduce a farmhouse ale with peppercorn for Northwest craft beer consumers to enjoy for the late summer and fall season. This is the first release in a series of specialty 22 ounce only offerings form MacTarnahan’s and the plan is to produce only 3000 cases. With Lip Stinger we’re offering a unique interpretation of Farmhouse Ale that combines the use of three malts and two hop varieties with a Malaysian and Indian 4 peppercorn blend that will deliver a flavor sensation that is endlessly interesting. Enjoy the heat and no pouting.”
