(Hooksett, NH) – White Birch Brewing has officially opened up for business so-to-speak with its first beers going out the door today. The brewery made a small batch beer (44 bottles) called Eerst Ale to commemorate its launch (pictured below) though it will attempt to get acquainted with locals through its more easily accessible Belgian Style Pale Ale. And local White Birch will stay- at least for now as the brewery is a one-barrel brew-house that will be self-distributing.
White Birch has listed some upcoming beers on its site including a Saison and Belgian Tripel. They are joining in on the Bourbon Barrel movement as well, adding another Tripel, an English Barleywine, and a Scotch Wee Heavy. It looks like the brewery is going with some Belgian styles early on and is skipping right over more commonly-found styles.
Note the minimalistic styles reminiscent of some of Bell’s offerings.
Here is the website description for the Pale Ale: “This straw colored beer greets with an aroma of noble hops, pears and Belgian esters. The flavor follows nicely with a moderately spicy hop and Belgian yeast effect buoyed by a soft malt body. The finish is crisp and dry. We enjoy this beer with spicy foods, grilled steaks, grilled chicken and mandarin salad.”
Congrats and good luck to them!
Great beer offerings and LOVE the cherrywine you make as well. You’ll be famous for sure!!!
