(Madison, WI) – Ale Asylum will release it heavily hopped double IPA, Satisfaction Jacksin, in bottles for the first time this fall. The beer was previously available only on tap this summer. According to an article posted in the Daily Page in early August, “Brewmaster Dean Coffey says it finishes at 8.25% ABV, and will have a bitter bite at over 100 IBUs.” As far as the dominant hop goes, the neck label reads, “Three pounds of Centennial hops per barrel give our double IPA a slightly punishing yet entirely pleasing bitterness that dances on the tongue.”
440 additional cases of Ale Asylum’s previous seasonal, Tripel Nova, went out into the market in four-packs a couple weeks ago. Another ode to Robin Shepard at The Daily Page (he has one of the best weekly beer columns in the U.S., IMHO), he did a full write-up on Tripel Nova back in May that is worth a read. And while we’re at it, he has a write-up today on a beer that sounds absolutely delicious: Tyranena Chocolate Imperial Porter. Available on tap and for growler refills.
Anyway, back to Ale Asylum, you can follow the brewery on Facebook to keep up-to-date. As far as I can tell, the brewery is not yet on Twitter.
I had this on tap at the GTMW and it was great! Too bad I can’t buy this beer where I live.
Robin Shepard is a guy.
Uh oh. Better fix that.
