(Placentia, CA) – According to Patrick Rue, The Bruery is on track to release the second beer in its Twelve Beers of Christmas collection late next month. Two Turtle Doves is a “Belgian-style dark ale brewed with cocoa nibs and toasted pecans.” The 12% ABV beer, packaged in a 750 mL champagne bottle, is quoted as “suitable for aging up to ten years” per the back label. The series debuted with Partridge in a Pear Tree last October.
The Bruery has also been featured in a couple recent blogger interviews. Thank Heaven for Beer, among other things, did a nice job of laying out the distribution network and revealing what states may soon carry some of their beers:
“Current: CA, OR, WA, AZ, NV, CO, MA, NJ, NY, PA, VA, MD, DC, WA
Planned in near future (some as soon as October): IN, OH, WI, NC, SC, IL, FL, KY”
Meanwhile, the L.A. Craft Beer Examiner reveals that the The Bruery has sent a jaw-dropping 21 beers to the Great American Beer Festival to be judged. Blogger Chris Spradley notes, “They will have the Orchard White, Autumn Maple, Hottenroth Berliner Weisse, Saison Rue and Black Tuesday on the floor at GABF.”
