(Akron, OH) – Hoppin’ Frog got label approval for Frosted Frog which I mentioned yesterday.

Here is what I posted: “OldSchoolGamer got a tip from Fred Karm at Hoppin’ Frog: ‘He told me that Christmas Ales have been somewhat of a disappointment for him, so he decided to take a stab at the style. His newest creation is called Frosted Frog and it is going to be a nut brown ale brewed with holiday spices. Its going to be around 8.5% ABV.'”

The beer specs from the label: the beer is 8.6% ABV, 84 OG, and 12 IBU. Brewed with Cinnamon, Ginger, and Nutmeg.

According to the official Hoppin’ Frog blog, the beer will be available “Saturday, Nov. 7 at the brewery at 1 PM. It will be available for our distributors in 11 states, including OH, PA, IN, IL, NY, NJ, MA, RI, NC, SC, and FL.”

The brewery recently started debuted Fresh Frog Raw Hop Ale at the brewery as well.

If you’re near Fat Head’s Brewery in North Olmsted, OH, tonight at 6pm, you can partake in Cleveland Beer Week and “sample Hoppin Frog beers and meet the owner/brewmaster Fred Karm. Featuring B.O.R.I.S., the Crusher, Frogs Hollow, and Hoppin’ to Heaven IPA. Free event.” Other events can be found here.
