(Placentia, CA) – Surprise, surprise. The Bruery has another beer coming along this fall and this one is going to enter the year-round lineup. That means that along with the seasonal return of Autumn Maple (available now), we will see four new beers make their bottled debut in a span of a few weeks: Black Tuesday, White Oak, Two Turtle Doves, and now . . . Rugbrød.
According to Patrick Rue, “it should start hitting the streets in late October / early November.” He provides some more info on the brew: “This beer is influenced by the Danish rye bread “rugbrød”, which is a very dense, dark bread with toasty, rich flavors. It differs from the typical rye bread in that it is much denser and doesn’t have caraway seeds. It’s a blend of that idea, and a JuleByrg-style beer, which are robust, malty beers typically available around Christmas in Denmark.” 8% ABV.
While Black Tuesday and White Oak will be brewery-only releases this year, you will be able to find both Rugbrod and Two Turtle Doves in stores.
