(New Ulm, MN) – Schell’s Pils will soon have a new label, “probably at the end of this year,” according to Schell Brewery‘s Jace Marti. “We are changing all of our labels for our 150th Anniversary. I believe all we have left are the seasonals- Maifest, Zommerfest, and Oktoberfest. Those will change as they come into season.”
Jace also provided a little more info on Hopfenmalz to follow up last week’s press release: “Hopfenmalz will be released in New Ulm on January 2nd. We’re looking at a total release starting in February. We talked about Feb. 15th as the date, as that is August Schell’s birthday, but it might be out before that. This will become one of our year round beers. It is going to replace our Pale Ale, which has been discontinued. The label will obviously change then to look like the rest of our beers in 2011. Distribution will be in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, Nebraska, Wisconsin, and Michigan.”
Schell’s President, Ted Marti, is actually in Iraq of all places this weekend working for a Serving our Troops project.
